Nationwide Deli Meat RECALL – 150,000 Pounds!

Exposing another alarming issue in the already battered food supply chain, nearly 150,000 pounds of bologna have been recalled nationwide.

The recall comes after government inspectors discovered undeclared meats hiding in the products.

Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc. is recalling about 143,416 pounds of ready-to-eat bologna products shipped to major retailers, including Walmart and Target.

The massive recall affects products manufactured between March 20 and June 20, 2025, all of which bear the establishment number “EST. 5385” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The New Jersey company failed to disclose that their “veal,” “chicken,” and “turkey” products actually contained pork, beef, and other unlisted meats.

The revelation raises serious concerns for consumers with dietary restrictions or allergies.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) identified the issue following a complaint filed with the Office of Inspector General.

The deceptive labeling is particularly concerning for Americans with religious dietary restrictions.

Products marketed as “FAMILY TREE BOLOGNA VEAL” and “CHICKEN BOLOGNA KYPOYKA PABA” actually contain undeclared pork, which would violate kosher and halal dietary laws.

Similarly, products labeled “BABUSHKA’S RECIPE CHICKEN BOLOGNA” secretly contain pork, while “FANCY BOLOGNA” includes undisclosed beef and chicken.

While the FSIS has not received reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products, the agency is urging consumers to check their refrigerators and freezers immediately.

The recalled bologna should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. Some affected products may have been repackaged at retail stores, making them harder to identify.

This incident raises questions about oversight and accountability in America’s food supply chain.

The company’s apparent disregard for proper labeling shows the challenges American consumers face when trying to make informed choices about what they feed their families.

In a nation where many citizens follow specific dietary restrictions for health, religious, or personal reasons, accurate food labeling is not just a regulatory requirement but a matter of respect for consumer rights and religious freedoms.

FSIS officials have warned restaurants and institutions not to serve any of the recalled products.
