(TheIndependentStar.com) – In an outburst of truly justified resentment, Virginia’s GOP Governor, Glenn Youngkin, has declared all-out support for the Republican-led authorities of Texas in their battle with the Biden administration to defend the nation from the massive illegal immigrant invasion.
Aligning with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a fellow Republican, Youngkin expressed strong disapproval of President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the administration’s “border czar,” due to ongoing migrant invasion at the US-Mexico border.
Governor Abbott is currently engaged in a conflict with the White House regarding the level of security at the border.
He asserts that Texas has a constitutional entitlement to protect itself, which justifies the state’s efforts to secure its own border, especially if Biden fails to implement federal immigration laws.
“Virginia stands with Texas,” declared Youngkin in a social media post which included a detailed statement from Abbott about the border dispute.
“Greg Abbott is doing the job Joe Biden and his border czar refuse to do to secure our border,” Youngkin further stated.
“The Biden administration has turned every state into a border state. We must stop the flow of fentanyl, save lives, and secure our southern border,” Virginia’s governor elaborated, as cited by The Daily Wire.
Abbott’s statement leveled severe accusations against Biden, claiming he has not upheld his presidential oath and is enabling an unlawful influx of immigrants into Texas.
“The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now,” the statement reads.
“President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants,” it adds.
Last year, Abbott initiated legal action against the Biden administration to prevent the removal of razor wire the governor had installed along Texas’s border, aimed at deterring unauthorized border crossings.
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court, in a close 5-4 decision, in which two of the six conservative justices sided with the left, lifted a prohibition against US Border Patrol agents cutting through the wire.
Shortly before Youngkin’s declaration, Abbott stated in a bold social media post that Texas would persist in installing the wire at the border.
“Texas’ razor wire is an effective deterrent against the illegal border crossings encouraged by Biden’s open border policies. We continue to deploy this razor wire to repel illegal immigration,” the Texas governor declared.
