(TheIndependentStar.com) – Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley criticized Joe Biden on ABC’s “This Week.”

Haley went for it and slammed Biden for not clearly explaining to Americans the threats foreign adversaries pose.

She pointed out Biden’s lack of communication on why support for Ukraine and Israel is crucial and how it relates to U.S. security.

“The reason you’re seeing America become more isolationist is at no point has Joe Biden had a conversation with the American people about why Ukraine is important,” Haley stated. She also mentioned the lack of discussion on “the terrorist activity that’s happening with Israel and why Iran is so dangerous” and the threats from China.

Haley argued that Biden’s silence on these issues has led to a disconnect among Americans and has encouraged hostile actions from adversaries. She noted that this trend began with Afghanistan’s fall and continues today. Haley, who served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under Trump, emphasized the need for the U.S. to support Ukraine against Russian aggression to avoid deploying American troops.

When pressed by Jonathan Karl on Biden’s support for Ukraine Haley suggested that Biden needs to improve how he communicates the importance of aid to American security. “Joe Biden needs to be speaking more to the American people about what this package means and why it affects the American people and why it protects them from further war,” she said.

Haley criticized Congress for not prioritizing national security and linking it with unrelated issues like border security reforms. “Congress needs to do their job and make sure that they go and do everything they can for national security,” she remarked, arguing against the notion that supporting Ukraine and Israel conflicts with securing the U.S. border. “They are lying to the American people. That’s a false premise. We can do both,” Haley added.
