BREAKING: US Ship Hit By Missile

(TheIndependentStar.com) – Terrorism attacks continue to incite fear in the hearts of people around the world, and this time, an American-owned ship was the target of a very dangerous group lurking in the shadows of the Red Sea.

The recent attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi rebel group on the U.S.-owned cargo ship, the Gibraltar Eagle, marks a significant escalation in regional tensions and further proves the persistent threat posed by the Houthis in the Red Sea.

According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the Houthis launched an anti-ship ballistic missile from Yemen, striking the vessel.

This incident, occurring roughly 100 miles southeast of Aden, Yemen, near the strategically vital Red Sea, caused minor damage but did not incapacitate the ship.

This attack aligns with a pattern of aggressive actions by the Houthis, who have increasingly targeted commercial vessels and Western naval forces in the region.

It’s part of a broader campaign to support Hamas in its conflict against Israel, a strategy that has involved numerous missile and drone strikes since November.

These actions by the Houthis, backed by Iran, are a clear demonstration of their capability and willingness to disrupt maritime security and challenge international norms.

In retaliation to the Houthi aggression, the U.S.-led coalition has actively engaged in military responses, targeting Houthi strongholds.

Last week, these efforts intensified with two significant strikes against Houthi-controlled territories, successfully destroying key military assets including weapons storage facilities, launch sites, and radar installations.

These decisive actions by the coalition are direct responses to the ongoing Houthi missile and drone attacks in the region, underscoring the commitment to counter their aggressive tactics and maintain regional stability.
