Growing increasingly tired with an out-of-touch Democrat Party, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has blasted fellow party members for their “crazy” rhetoric.
Specifically, the senator challenged his own party’s far-left members for comparing a U.S. military parade to Nazi displays.
Fetterman stood firm on supporting the 250th anniversary celebration of the U.S. Army while facing boos from fellow liberals.
The situation highlights a growing divide between traditional Democrats and the radical progressive wing seeking to undermine American traditions.
“There was no goose-stepping, and… first of all, stop ever comparing anyone, anything, to the Nazis and those kinds of things. That’s crazy,” he stated firmly.
By doing so, the senator is opposing the increasingly baffling messaging from the progressive wing that regularly demonizes the U.S. military.
Fetterman found himself in the unusual position of standing against members of his own party after being booed at the “No Kings Day” rally in Philadelphia.
The senator expressed bewilderment at receiving such hostile treatment from members of his own political party for supporting a military parade celebrating a significant American milestone.
“I’m not sure why Democrats would boo a fellow Democrat, but that’s their prerogative,” Fetterman stated.
He made it clear that celebrating 250 years of the U.S. Army is not extreme or controversial, but rather an acknowledgment of America’s military history.
Fetterman’s strongest rebuke came when addressing comparisons made by some Democrats between the planned military parade and authoritarian displays.
The senator also broke ranks with the far-left on foreign policy, restating his unwavering support for Israel.
He openly opposed the “No War Against Iran Act” introduced by socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, warning against Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Fetterman declared his intention to vote against measures that would block U.S. military action against Iran without congressional approval, prioritizing national security over progressive ideology.
“I am always going to stand with Israel through this,” Fetterman emphasized, demonstrating a willingness to support America’s strongest Middle East ally despite intense pressure from anti-Israel elements within his own party.
This stance represents a significant departure from the growing anti-Israel sentiment among progressive Democrats.
On immigration, Fetterman supports the deportation of illegal aliens with criminal convictions.
However, he fell short of supporting comprehensive enforcement, arguing that law-abiding immigrants should not be targeted.
Fetterman’s willingness to stand up against the most radical elements of his party shows a rare acknowledgment among Democrats of how far left their party has drifted.
While he continues to align with Democrats on many issues, his public rebuke of progressive extremism highlights the growing divide between common sense and the increasingly anti-American sentiment taking hold in today’s Democrat Party.
