TikTok Star Becomes Murder Suspect

David Anthony Burke, the 20-year-old singer known professionally as D4vd, has been named a suspect in the death investigation of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The teen’s decomposing body was discovered in September 2025 in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the social media star. D4vd rose to fame on TikTok with nearly 4 million followers and was touring internationally when the grisly discovery was made.

Gruesome Discovery at Hollywood Impound Lot

Los Angeles police officers responded to a Hollywood impound lot on September 8 after reports of a foul odor emanating from a vehicle. Authorities found Hernandez’s body in an advanced state of decomposition in the Tesla’s front trunk.

The vehicle had been abandoned on a Hollywood street and towed to the lot two days earlier. According to sources, the girl’s body had been dismembered, suggesting a calculated and brutal crime.

Complex Investigation Reveals Multiple Suspects

Investigators believe the dismemberment and disposal process likely involved more than one person due to the complexity of the crime. Police have contacted multiple individuals they suspect were involved in some capacity.

The teen from Lake Elsinore in Riverside County was reported missing in 2024 and may have been dead for several weeks before discovery. D4vd is allegedly refusing to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Career Derailed by Criminal Investigation

Following the body’s identification in mid-September, law enforcement searched a Los Angeles home where D4vd had been living. The singer immediately canceled the remaining shows of his “Withered” world tour, including stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

His European tour dates have also been canceled, and promotion for the deluxe edition of his debut album was suspended. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has yet to determine the cause and manner of death, which will be critical for making arrests and filing charges.
