BREAKING NEWS ALERT: Peace and quiet have been shattered in Boulder, Colorado, when eight peaceful pro-Israel demonstrators were set on fire.
The FBI has officially labeled the incident as a “targeted terror attack” after a suspect hurled incendiary devices at citizens advocating for Israeli hostages held by Hamas
This brazen assault on Americans exercising their First Amendment rights exposes the growing threat of anti-Israel terrorism on American soil.
The horrific incident unfolded at Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall during a “Run for Their Lives” event.
This is a weekly gathering held since Thanksgiving 2023 to raise awareness about hostages captured during Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene as a man attacked the demonstration with bottles containing flammable liquid that exploded upon impact, setting multiple people ablaze.
Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn confirmed the severity of the situation: “When we arrived, we encountered multiple victims…with injuries consistent with burns.”
At least two victims have been hospitalized with burn injuries, while the suspect was taken into custody with minor injuries.
“We are investigating this incident as an act of terror, and targeted violence,” stated FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.
FBI Director Kash Patel made a similar declaration: “We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado.”
“Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available,” he added.
Colorado’s Attorney General Phil Weiser suggested the attack appeared to be a hate crime, though federal prosecutors are still determining the appropriate charges.
While the suspect’s identity remains undisclosed, authorities are reportedly considering potential mental health issues.
Run for Their Lives — Boulder, has been advocating for the release of hostages taken during Hamas’ brutal October 7 attack, with 23 captives still believed to be alive.
These American citizens were simply exercising their constitutional rights to peacefully assemble and petition for action regarding hostages held by terrorists.
Witness Brooke Coffman expressed disbelief that such violence could occur in Boulder, describing women suffering severe burns and bystanders rushing to help.
Her shock reflects the growing realization among many Americans that no community is immune to the spreading of anti-Israel and antisemitic violence.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis issued a statement condemning “hate-filled acts” but stopped short of specifically acknowledging the anti-Israel nature of the attack.
This terror attack on American soil targeting supporters of Israel represents yet another alarming example of how radical anti-Israel sentiment has festered across communities.
