(TheIndependentStar.com) – Due to his evident disrespect, Democrat Representative Al Green had to be forcibly removed from President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress for heckling.

The Democrat began shouting protests about Medicaid, which triggered chants of “USA! USA!” from Republicans while exposing the left’s inability to maintain basic decorum during official presidential addresses.
President Trump was delivering his triumphant address to the joint session of Congress when Rep. Green repeatedly interrupted, yelling “You have no mandate to cut Medicaid.”
Despite warnings from House Speaker Mike Johnson to maintain decorum, Green continued his disruptive behavior.
His actions forced Speaker Johnson’s hand, who instructed the sergeant at arms to “restore order” and “remove this gentleman from the chamber.”
The incident highlighted the stark divide between President Trump’s vision for America and Democrats’ obstructionist tactics.
As Republicans rose to their feet in applause, Democrats remained seated. Some Democrats wore pink clothing, displayed protest signs, or simply walked out rather than showing respect for the office of the presidency.
Speaker Johnson quickly condemned Green’s behavior, suggesting the congressman should face censure for his actions.
“It’s a spectacle that was not necessary. He’s made history in a terrible way. And I hope he enjoys it. If they want to make a 77-year-old heckling congressman the face of their resistance, the Democrat party. So be it. We will not tolerate it on the House floor,” Johnson stated.
Meanwhile, President Trump declared, “America is back,” during his address even as he acknowledged the Democrats’ persistent negativity.
“I look at the Democrats in front of me and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud, nothing I can do,” he continued.
The protests were not limited to Green’s outburst. Rep. Rashida Tlaib displayed a whiteboard with messages about taxes.
Rep. Melanie Stansbury held a sign saying, “This is not normal,” which Republican Rep. Lance Gooden promptly snatched and discarded.
Several Democrat lawmakers, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, did not even bother to attend, showing complete disregard for American institutions.
Green, who has previously called for President Trump’s impeachment, showed no remorse for his behavior.
Following his removal, he told reporters he was willing to accept any punishment, positioning himself as a martyr for the left’s causes while ignoring the disrespect he showed to the presidency.
This behavior underscores a disturbing trend: Democrats refuse to accept the legitimacy of President Trump’s presidency despite his decisive electoral victory.
Instead of engaging in meaningful policy discussions, Democrats are resorting to theatrical stunts that accomplish nothing except eroding the dignity of Congress.
Green is now likely to face censure, a formal reprimand and public condemnation for violating the House’s code of conduct.
Speaker Johnson indicated he would bring such a resolution to a vote, sending a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated in the people’s house.
