(TheIndependentStar.com) – In a bizarre new gaffe, Kamala Harris practically “slayed” her boss, Joe Biden – figuratively as well as politically – by going out of her way to declare the president was “very much alive,” thus trying to avoid a question about if she is ready to assume the presidency if need be.
During a “60 Minutes” interview broadcast on Sunday, Harris, 59, was asked about the possibility of assuming the presidency from President Joe Biden, 80.
See the video clip below.
The vice president didn’t give a straightforward answer, emphasizing President Biden’s vitality and ongoing plans for reelection.
“Well, first of all, I’m not gonna engage in that hypothetical because Joe Biden is very much alive and running for reelection. So there we are,” she remarked, as cited by The Washington Times.
The Times notes that public opinion polls suggest skepticism about Mr. Biden’s capacity to fulfill another four-year term effectively, considering he would be 82 at the start of his second term and 86 by its conclusion.
“I hear from a lot of different people a lot of different things. But let me just tell you, I’m focused on the job. I truly am,” Harris elaborated.
“Our democracy is on the line… And I frankly, in my head, do not have time for parlor games when we have a president who is running for reelection. That’s it,” she added.
The report points out that Harris herself has encountered challenges in public approval, with FiveThirtyEight’s polling indicating a 54.9% disapproval rating among Americans, while only 38.8% expressed approval.
President Biden’s approval ratings are similarly lackluster, with 39.9% approval and 53.9% disapproval.
When questioned why the Biden-Harris team isn’t significantly outpacing former President Donald Trump’s campaign by 30 points, the vice president said she wasn’t a political analyst.
“I am not a political pundit. But what I will say is this: When the American people are able to take a close look at election time on their options, I think the choice is gonna be clear,” she declared.
Harris then expressed confidence that she and Joe Biden would spend four more years in the White House after the 2024 election.
“We’re gonna win. Let me just tell you that. We’re gonna win. And I’m not saying it’s gonna be easy. But we will win,” the vice president concluded.
I'm just gonna say it.. Am I the only one trying to figure out if that's even Kamala? 🧐🧐
"Our democracy is on the line Bill" 😂🤣
Joe Biden has been unalived.. And in my eyes, this is blatent and in your face confirmation.
