Earlier this week, ex-President Donald Trump issued a video announcement, cautioning citizens that secretive government entities are aiming to prevent them from electing “the sole contender who will reinstate the power to the American public.”
Trump, presently leading the race for the Republican party’s presidential nominee for 2024, shared a video statement on his official website this Tuesday. This coincided with the day he declared on his Truth Social network that he had been notified via a letter from special counsel Jack Smith, whom he termed as “disturbed,” that he is “a subject of the inquiry into the January 6th Grand Jury.”
The past president conveyed his anticipation of being indicted over the widely reported events of Jan. 6, 2021. During these events, demonstrators intruded the U.S. Capitol in an effort to obstruct the confirmation of President Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 elections.
Through his website, Trump asserted that his followers “are the fuel to my constant battle against all the misleading onslaughts striving to dismantle our movement.”
“You are the fountain of my bravery, optimism, and determination,” he penned. “You are the impetus for my unyielding commitment to preserving America.”
Trump further indicated that the dedication of his followers influenced his decision to share his “inaugural recorded message to YOU — NOT the mainstream media.”
In his video declaration, Trump declares, “The left is making another attempt to annihilate me since, by undermining me, they obliterate you. They annihilate the entire nation, which is fundamentally their objective.”
Trump also mentioned that despite being the target of “an extensive and malevolent witch hunt,” “the actual casualty isn’t me. The actual casualty is you. The secret powers are trying to thwart you from voting for the only contender who will reinstate authority to the American public, a fact they recognize.”
“But bear in mind, on November 5th, 2024, the American public will reclaim our nation, and we will Make America Great Again,” he proceeded. “These authoritarian, Marxist, and Communist elements will face defeat. We are left with no alternative, or else we risk losing our nation. My deepest gratitude to all of you.”
