(TheIndependentStar.com) – President Donald Trump has nominated combat fighter jock and retired Air Force Lieutenant General Dan “Razin'” Caine for chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
This decision would reinforce his reputation for exceptional military leadership and strategic brilliance.
Caine, a decorated combat veteran with over 100 combat hours in F-16s, represents exactly what the armed forces need after years of leftist ideological infiltration.
President Trump has nominated Caine to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, America’s highest military position.
The nomination came as Trump fired the current chairman, Air Force General Charles Q. Brown, who had not yet completed two years of his intended four-year term.
Caine’s nomination represents a significant shift in military leadership priorities. The Trump administration is focusing on building a lethal fighting force and moving away from DEI initiatives that have dominated military culture under Democrat leadership.
The combat fighter brings an impressive military resume to the position. First commissioned in 1990, he served with the 174th Attack Wing at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has logged 2,800 flight hours, including over 100 combat hours in F-16 aircraft.
His battlefield experience includes pivotal roles in Operation Iraqi Freedom, particularly leading missions targeting SCUD missile sites.
Caine’s service record has earned him numerous military awards, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal with bronze oak leaf cluster, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
If chosen, he would make history as the first career Air National Guard officer to chair the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
President Trump has consistently praised Caine’s military leadership. At a recent campaign event, Trump highlighted Caine’s strategic mind during the fight against ISIS: “‘We’re only hitting them from a temporary base in Syria,'” Trump said Caine told him.
Yet, Trump’s nomination faces some procedural hurdles. As a retired three-star general, Caine would require a congressional waiver to serve as chairman, a position traditionally held by four-star generals.
The Senate must also confirm his nomination, a process that typically involves extensive hearings.
In the same military leadership shake-up, Trump also removed Chief of Naval Operations Lisa Franchetti and Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force James Slife, signaling his determination to clean house of military leaders who have prioritized woke policies over combat readiness during the previous administration.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has expressed full support for Caine, stating he “embodies the warfighter ethos and is exactly the leader we need to meet the moment.”
This endorsement underscores the administration’s return to prioritizing military effectiveness over social engineering experiments that have damaged morale and readiness.
Ultimately, Caine’s nomination represents President Trump’s commitment to rebuilding America’s military might after years of decline.
With his extensive combat experience, strategic vision, and dedication to America’s security, Lieutenant General Caine stands ready to lead U.S. armed forces back to global preeminence.
