(TheIndependentStar.com) – GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s wannabe assassin left a bombshell handwritten letter indicating others should “finish the job,” referring to the killing of the former president.
See the tweet below.
Ryan Routh faces two gun charges after attempting to assassinate Trump on September 15 at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
According to court records filed by prosecutors, Routh reportedly wrote in the letter that he would offer $150,000 to anyone who could “complete” the job.
Moreover, prosecutors mentioned that law enforcement was alerted by a witness who said Routh had dropped off a box at his home several months before the assassination attempt.
The witness opened the box left by Routh after hearing about the assassination attempt on September 15.
This box contained letters, “ammunition, a metal pipe, miscellaneous building materials, tools, [and] four phones.”
“Dear World, this was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I am so sorry I failed you,” the letter read. “I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster.”
The letter also stated, “Everyone across the globe from the youngest to the oldest know that Trump is unfit to be anything, much less a US president.”
In addition, prosecutors claimed the message went on to criticize Trump for “ending relations with Iran like a child and now the Middle East has unraveled.”
During a search of Routh’s car, law enforcement found a list of handwritten dates and venues where Trump had or was expected to appear from August to October.
Routh’s cell phone had connected to towers near Mar-a-Lago and Trump International on “multiple days and times” between August 18 and September 15, the filing noted.
