(TheIndependentStar.com) – The Biden administration isn’t currently winning any prizes with the present state of the country. The price of goods is rising, there’s sticker shock at the pumps, illegal immigration has hit an all-time high, and COVID cases are on increasing again.
Former President Donald Trump had a lot to say about the state of the union in an interview with Michael Savage on July 20, 2021.

Savage asked Trump if he thought the US was “melting down” under Biden. He didn’t hesitate for a second before answering with a firm, “yes.”
The 45th president stated he felt the media was very much to blame for how the current situation unfolded. He also commented on the progressive loss of free press, accusing outlets of “protecting the Left too much.”
Trump was especially critical of Biden’s lackadaisical response to illegal immigrants pouring into the country. He feels both increases in crime and rising COVID-19 infections are essentially a result of poor security along the southern border.
Also accusing Democrats of leading America towards a “communist future,” Trump expressed shock at the Left’s extreme ideals. He feels they far exceed anything ever put forth before.
Savage discussed election integrity with his esteemed guest, too. Both agreed on the need to secure elections and insure the country against fraud.
Trump even spoke of his 2020 loss, saying it occurred because the establishment was ready for him. He didn’t have the ability to catch them off guard, as he did in 2016, this time around. He stopped short of confirming a 2024 run to reclaim the White House, but acknowledged how much his supporters would love for it to happen.
