Despite countless judges warning former President Donald Trump against releasing images of prosecutors who are pursuing charges or sentencing against him, Trump did so on Sunday (May 7), boldly saying he would be “fighting this group of thugs” to “save our country.”
Trump claimed “crooked” President Joe Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland are behind all of his legal trouble because they want to illegally disarm Biden’s political opposition through weaponized justice.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump insisted that Prosecutors “illegally unleashed” on him by Garland and “Crooked Joe Biden” were appointed to “interfere with the upcoming 2024 election.”
The post included a collage of four people: New York’s Attorney General, Letitia James; Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg; Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis; and Biden’s DOJ-appointed Special Counsel, Jack Smith.
Trump claimed the foursome didn’t want him in the 2024 White House race “because because they know I won twice, did much better the second time, and am also leading Biden in the polls.”
The phrase was repeated frequently at Trump Save America rallies as he denounced alleged fraud in the 2020 election.
Smith was appointed to investigate Trump’s 2020 presidential election challenge, including the events of January 6, which were investigated by the Democratic-led House of Representatives in the last Congress.
Trump concluded his post by questioning whether others would like to fight “thugs, radical left Marxists, racists, and lunatics” at the same time.
Explaining that is what he is doing to “make America great again, and save our country!”
