Trump Attacks Jack Smith – He’s Deranged!

Donald Trump in suit and tie.

(TheIndependentStar.com) – President-elect Donald Trump has some choice words for disgraced Special Counsel Jack Smith following his resignation from the Department of Justice.

Trump unleashed a scathing rebuke of Smith and his investigation, also revealing the staggering cost of the political witch hunt:

“Deranged Jack Smith was fired today by the DOJ. He is a disgrace to himself, his family, and his Country. After spending over $100,000,000 on the Witch Hunt against TRUMP, he left town empty handed!”

The move exposes the deep-rooted conflict between Trump’s administration and those investigating him for political gain.

Appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in November 2022, Smith recently stepped down from his role at the Justice Department.

His resignation comes after submitting a final confidential report on January 7, 2025.

The report details investigations that led to two federal indictments against Trump: one for alleged election interference and another for mishandling classified documents.

Smith’s departure is crucial because it comes before Trump’s stunning return to the White House.

Smith’s resignation appears to be a preemptive move as Trump had previously stated he would fire the special counsel upon taking office.

“These cases, like all of the other cases I have been forced to go through, are empty and lawless, and should never have been brought,” Trump said regarding the situation.

“It was a political hijacking, and a low point in the History of our Country that such a thing could have happened, and yet, I persevered, against all odds, and WON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he added.

The saga surrounding Smith’s report continues to unfold. Judge Aileen Cannon temporarily stopped its release, but the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled against blocking its publication.

This legal tug-of-war highlights the ongoing attempts to control the narrative surrounding Trump’s presidency and the investigations against him.

Meanwhile, Garland has pledged to stretch his resources while pressing forward with the report.

He stated, “As I have made clear regarding every Special Counsel who has served since I took office, I am committed to making as much of the Special Counsel’s report public as possible, consistent with legal requirements and Department policy.”

Only the section on alleged election subversion will be released as co-defendants in the classified documents case still face charges.

Trump’s supporters view this entire episode as further evidence of the deep state’s relentless pursuit to undermine his presidency.

The fact that charges against Trump have been dropped due to Justice Department policy not to prosecute a sitting president only adds fuel to the fire of those who believe the investigations were politically motivated from the start.

As Trump prepares to retake office, his vindication resonates deeply with supporters who have long believed that a coordinated effort was underway to derail his America First agenda.

With Smith’s departure and Trump’s imminent return to the White House, the stage is set for a dramatic shift in the Justice Department’s focus.
