Former President Trump said the United States had “never been so embarrassed” following a massive leak of military intelligence as he attacked President Joe Biden and suggested he was the source of the leak.

Taking to Truth Social on Wednesday (April 12), Trump described the leaks as the “worst… in U.S. history.”

He continued that the U.S. “has never been so embarrassed” but noted that despite this, they choose to pursue him on their “old tired Boxes Hoax.”

Last week, documents surfaced online purporting to be leaked from the Pentagon and seemingly shared information about U.S. and NATO intelligence in the war in Ukraine, from casualty estimates in the ongoing conflict to the training of Ukrainian forces.

While U.S. officials have not confirmed the documents’ authenticity, they have attempted to track down the source of the breach.

Referencing the investigation by Special Counsel into his alleged mishandling of classified information since his exit from the White House, Trump said the investigation should turn to Biden and suggested the President was the one who leaked the intelligence.

Trump suggested that the “Special ‘prosecutor’ should investigate Biden, maybe he was the leaker?”

He continued that “nothing” would “surprise” him about the Biden administration.

Trump, who has focused much of his anger in recent weeks and months on his declared and potential opponents in the 2024 GOP primary, made his comments a day after he began his criticism of Biden on seeking reelection in 2024.

He mocked Biden for saying he plans to seek reelection to the White House on Easter Sunday, saying he didn’t see how the President could seek a second term.
