(TheIndependentStar.com) – Doing what his opponents would not, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump will visit the U.S.-Mexico border today to spotlight the Biden-Harris administration’s failure to tackle the ongoing migrant crisis.
Trump’s visit will take place in Cochise County, Arizona, just hours before Kamala Harris formally accepts her party’s nomination at the Democrat National Convention (DNC) in Chicago.
Trump’s campaign wrote in a post on its website:
“America is facing our country’s worst border crisis because of border Czar Kamala Harris. Despite nearly 10 million illegal immigrant crossings in the last three and a half years, at least 99 individuals on the terrorist watch list being released into our country, deadly drugs like fentanyl being peddled in by cartels and poisoning American communities, and a huge increase in crime and chaos caused by illegal immigrants — there is no end in sight for Kamala Harris’ border crisis.”
Recently, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has reported a drop in border crossings following Joe Biden’s June executive order, which halted asylum processing at the border when illegal entries hit a certain threshold.
Moreover, the Republican nominee announced yesterday his upcoming trip on Truth Social, “Tomorrow, I will be going to the Southern Border to address the plague of Migrant Crime and Migrant Rape that so-called Border Czar, Comrade Kamala Harris, has unleashed on America.”
He added, “This nightmare ends, and ends immediately, with our VICTORY in November!”
During his visit, Trump is expected to address crimes committed by illegal who crossed the border, the job shortages facing Americans, and the fentanyl epidemic, which is currently the leading cause of death among U.S. adults aged 18 to 45.
Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels is likely to join Trump at the border.
Taylor Rogers, an RNC spokesperson, stated, “While failed border czar Kamala Harris adopts the Biden Basement strategy to hide from the illegal immigrant invasion created by her radical policies, President Trump will be visiting the southern border again.”
Additionally, Arizona is one of the key swing states that could play a decisive role in the upcoming presidential election.
