This is very frightening.
As of December, Fox News submitted a request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the result of that request revealed that:
According to the Custom and Border database currently obtained by Fox News, it’s been reported that people moving across the southern border have been apprehended and caught by the Border Patrol. Among these people, 23 have matched names recorded on the Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB), all this between Jan. 20 and Dec. 27, 2021.
This Screening Database is known to contain information on the identities of people who are known or “reasonably suspected” to be involved in any terrorist activities.
Here is the breakdown of the 23 suspects:
Del Rio Sector = 4
Rio Grande Valley Sector = 4
El Centro Sector = 4
San Diego Sector = 4
El Paso Sector = 3
Tucson Sector = 2
Yuma Sector = 2
Requests have been made repeatedly by the Republican lawmakers to make the number of these Border encounters known publicly by the administration.
As of last month, Reps. James Comer and John Katko, Serving as the ranking members on the Oversight and Homeland Security, Respectively wrote Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS Secretary.
“Reporting indicates that multiple individuals with terrorist ties have been recently apprehended after illegally crossing the border and that such encounters may be increasing,”
“The American people deserve to know whether President Biden’s weak border policies allow terrorists to enter our homeland,” they said.
Rodney Scott, The Former Border Patrol Chief has also sounded these alarms repeated over the amount of TSDBs entering the border. His exact words to his fellow Agents last year, “It’s at a level we have never seen before.”
In October, Bret Baier also told Fox News, “We have terrorist threats we can’t get into in this forum, but they are real.”
Additionally, the Republicans on the committee have also requested documents that show the number of migrants linked to the TSDB. They also asked for information about their countries of origin in every fiscal year from 2016.
Additionally, they have also requested any data showing the estimates of the number of people who have crossed the border but ended up evaded by the Border Patrol.
According to a Fox News report, earlier this month (March), over 62,000 illegal immigrants evaded the Patrol agent, ranging to an average of 2000 daily. A filing by CBP last week also shows that agents encountered over 212,000 migrants at the border in March, which is higher than they have experienced in any month last year.
Biden Administration is again facing these numbers that keep overwhelming the agents and resources at the borders.
