(TheIndependentStar.com) – Marking Ozzy Osbourne’s very last performance ever, Black Sabbath’s reunion concert in Birmingham promises to go down in history as a heavy metal extravaganza.

The legendary heavy metal band has announced a monumental reunion concert titled “Back to the Beginning,” set for July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham.

This event marks a significant milestone as it will be the last time Ozzy performs with the band, bringing together the original lineup for the first time in over two decades.

The reunion features Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, a lineup that has not graced the stage together since the 2005 Ozzfest tour.

For millions of fans across the world, this powerful comeback is a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

76-year-old Ozzy has been battling health issues including Parkinson’s disease. He will perform a short solo set before joining his Black Sabbath bandmates.

Ozzy expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to go back to his roots, offering a heartfelt farewell to the city and fans.

“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning…time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever,” Osbourne stated.

The event is shaping up to be a stunning concert that celebrates an era of raw, honest, and unapologetic music.

The lineup includes other legendary acts such as Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera, forming a veritable who-is-who of heavy metal royalty.

Fans will also see a “supergroup” performance boasting members from various bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Rage Against The Machine.

The event’s music director Tom Morello described it as potentially “the greatest heavy metal show ever.”

In a move that speaks volumes about the band’s character, profits from the festival will be donated to worthy causes including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Eager fans can snag tickets, which will go on sale through LiveNation on February 14th.
