(TheIndependentStar.com) – Even though skyrocketing inflation has been a staple of the Biden-Harris administration for the past four years, last night, liberal US Senator Elizabeth Warren suggested that Kamala Harris would lower grocery prices.
Warren made these claims during the Democrat National Convention in Chicago, where she spoke up in favor of Harris and asserted that the Democrat nominee would improve social and economic issues.
Warren burst into tears as she praised Harris, “You know what I love best about Kamala Harris? Kamala Harris can’t be bought and she can’t be bossed around.”
“We need to make life more affordable for working people,” Warren added.
She also took several shots at GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, labeling him a “criminal” and a “felon.”
Warren also criticized Trump’s supposed lack of concern for reducing costs for families.
“Donald Trump, the felon, has no plans to lower costs for families. He doesn’t know how, and basically, he doesn’t really care,” Warren said. “The only bills he worries about are from his criminal defense lawyers.”
Warren also claimed that Harris would address price gouging and actively work to reduce everyday costs for Americans.
“And there it is: groceries, gas, housing, health care, taxes, abortion,” Warren expressed. “We need Kamala Harris. This election is about your family and your future.”
Meanwhile, inflation has been a persistent issue, hitting 40-year highs and significantly increasing the prices of essentials such as bread, beef, dairy products and eggs.
At a recent rally, Harris acknowledged the inflation issue, noting that even though supply chains have recovered after the pandemic, prices remain excessively high.
“We all know that prices went up during the pandemic when the supply chains shut down and failed, but our supply chains have now improved, and prices are still too high,” Harris acknowledged.
“A loaf of bread costs 50% more today than it did before the pandemic. Ground beef is up almost 50%,” she admitted.
In response, Trump took to Truth Social to criticize Warren, particularly targeting her past claims of American Indian ancestry.
