Rudy Giuliani Responds to Criminal Allegations

(TheIndependentStar.com) – After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, then-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani became a hero of sorts. All eyes were on him as he picked up his city and helped to rally the country to move past the devastating events of that tragic day.

Now, almost 20 years later, Giuliani is not getting the same respect. He’s facing criminal charges for work he carried out as the personal attorney of former President Donald Trump.

On August 1, 2021, Giuliani clapped back against the accusations he’s facing in an NBC interview about 9/11. He painted the situation as a politically motivated witch hunt, adding that he’s “committed no crime.”

The former attorney said he is willing to go to jail, but he is not the one who will ultimately pay the price because he didn’t do anything wrong. He also compared what he’s gone through with the treatment of current New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo. Giuliani pointed out the stark differences and said it is an example of a “terrible distortion of justice.”

He then pointed to the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, saying that was a case of actual criminal activity. Federal agents seem to have far less interest in that, however.

Senator Wendy Rogers (R-AZ) expressed her support for Giuliani via Twitter. She said the situation was “evil,” and called those pursuing him “political thugs.” She ended her tweet with #StandWithRudy.

The Ukraine situation for which Giuliani is under fire is the same incident that led to the impeachment of President Trump. The Left is still pressing the issue. Could there be something to the claims that this is nothing more than a political stunt?
