(TheIndependentStar.com) – Highlighting the turmoil within the British Royal Family, Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly “going through hell.”
Friend Amaia Arrieta, who has been dressing the royal children since Prince George was a baby, said she was concerned during a conversation with the Telegraph.
“I’m heartbroken at the moment, I think they are going through hell, I hope they will be back. It’s really personal,” Arrieta remarked.
She revealed the emotional strain the family is under following Middleton’s cancer diagnosis. This is the first time Arrieta has spoken publicly about the couple’s private struggles.
Arrieta, who runs the children’s clothing brand Amaia, also talked about how proud she was to be able to dress Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
She also discussed her close collaboration with the children’s nanny, Maria Borrallo, to ensure they look their best.
“It’s often a very tight deadline. We would do anything for them… the children always look amazing in the end,” she said. Notably, Prince Louis wore an Amaia shirt in a recent photo for his 6th birthday.
The Royal Family’s dire situation was put in the spotlight by Middleton’s ongoing chemotherapy treatments after she was diagnosed with cancer in March.
The royal family has faced multiple health challenges recently: King Charles announced his own cancer diagnosis in February and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, currently battles aggressive skin cancer.
The timing of Middleton’s March 22 announcement was strategically planned before the Easter school break to prepare their three children for the news.
According to reports, the couple had a particularly “difficult” conversation with George and Charlotte about their mother’s health.
During this challenging period, Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, have been actively supporting their grandchildren.
