(TheIndependentStar.com) – In a stunning display of internal Democrat Party division and exposing the deep-rooted corruption and hypocrisy within the party’s leadership, Senator John Fetterman has launched a scathing attack on Representative Nancy Pelosi.
Fetterman’s move reveals the desperate attempts by establishment Democrats to shift blame for their catastrophic loss to President-elect Donald Trump onto Joe Biden.
Known for his outspoken nature, the senator did not mince words when addressing Pelosi’s recent comments blaming Biden for Kamala Harris’ electoral defeat.
The Pennsylvania senator accused Pelosi of playing both sides, pointing out her previous efforts to push Biden out of the 2024 race.
“People like [Nancy] Pelosi, she really tried to — what’s the word I’m looking for? — she embraced this ‘she’s the godmother, she’s the enforcer,'” Fetterman stated.
He added, “And now she’s blaming Biden. Well, you can’t have it both ways. You got what you wanted, and now you’re still blaming Biden.”
The senator’s comments highlight the growing frustration among some Democrats with Pelosi’s continued influence and her refusal to step aside for new leadership.
Fetterman did not hesitate either to criticize Pelosi’s age and lengthy tenure, suggesting it was time for her to make way for younger voices in the party.
“I think it’s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84 and she is still hanging on,” Fetterman claimed. “Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?”
The internal strife within the Democrat Party is not limited to Fetterman’s criticisms. Other House Democrats have expressed their frustration with Pelosi’s recent comments, with one senior lawmaker saying, “She needs to take a seat.”
In addition, Pelosi suggested in a New York Times interview that an “open primary” to replace Biden would have been preferable.
“Had [President Biden] gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” Pelosi stated, seemingly washing her hands of any responsibility for the party’s defeat.
As the Democrat Party grapples with its internal conflicts, President-elect Trump continues to make bold moves in preparation for his return to the White House.
Fetterman, while critical of his own party’s leadership, could not help but acknowledge the political savvy of Trump’s potential nomination of Matt Gaetz for attorney general, describing it as “God-tier level trolling to just trigger a full-on China Syndrome to own the libs in perpetuity.”
The aftermath of the 2024 election has exposed the deep-seated issues within the Democrat Party, from its aging leadership to its inability to connect with voters.
