NOW: Trump Election Interference Report Made Public

(TheIndependentStar.com) – In a bombshell development, Special Counsel Jack Smith’s report on President-elect Donald Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election has been released.

The report’s release comes after Trump’s legal team repeatedly attempted to block its publication.

Although Judge Aileen Cannon allowed Smith to carry on with the release, she has blocked other parts of the document while other lawsuits play out.

Smith’s report is part of a two-volume set, which states that federal investigators had enough evidence to convict Trump for his alleged efforts to protect election integrity in 2020.

The second volume concerns Trump’s alleged withholding of White House documents.

This part of the document remains partially unreleased, depending on the outcome of the prosecutions against Trump’s co-defendants.

The investigation involved over 250 interviews and testimony from more than 55 witnesses.

“But for Mr. Trump’s election and imminent return to the Presidency, the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial,” Smith claimed in a statement

However, Smith also recognized that Trump’s resounding victory in the 2024 election made it impossible for him to continue with his probe due to constitutional protections.

Trump’s legal team condemned the report, stating, “The report is nothing less than another attempted political hit job which sole purpose is to disrupt the Presidential transition and undermine President Trump’s exercise of executive power.”

Trump also took to his Truth Social platform to set the record straight, calling Smith a “lamebrain prosecutor who was unable to get his case tried before the Election.”

Meanwhile, Smith declared, “And to all who know me well, the claim from Mr. Trump that my decisions as a prosecutor were influenced or directed by the Biden administration or other political actors is, in a word, laughable.”

The report’s release marks a stunning milestone: the first time a former president was indicted on federal charges and then re-elected by the American people.

Despite accusations of partisanship, Smith stood behind his findings, emphasizing that the Justice Department’s decisions were independent and constitutionally grounded.

He notably steered clear from pursuing charges under the Insurrection Act due to major legal issues.

The report’s release also marks the beginning of a new contentious saga.

Democrats like Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes are pushing for the preservation and accessibility of Smith’s files, reflecting the ongoing political tug-of-war.
