On Friday (April 7), Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) warned former President Donald Trump not to hire far-right activist Laura Loomer, describing Loomer as “mentally unstable” and a “documented liar.”

Taking to Twitter, Greene recalled that Loomer, a former congressional candidate who has repeatedly spewed anti-Muslim rhetoric, attacked Greene for supporting House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA.) bid for the Speaker’s gavel and not supporting Loomer in her when she ran for Congress.

Loomer called Islam a “cancer” and was temporarily banned from Twitter for her anti-Muslim posts, including those targeting Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).

The Georgia Republican made her remarks following a report by The New York Times, which claimed Trump has been asking his campaign aides to find Loomer a spot in his 2024 re-election campaign or with a super PAC supporting his bid.

A close Trump ally, Greene said Loomer “loves” another far-right activist known for making racist and anti-Semitic comments, Nick Fuentes.

Trump dined with Fuentes and rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, at Mar-a-Lago last November, sparking widespread backlash.

Following the backlash, Trump revealed he did not know Fuentes’ views or who he was at the time of the meeting.

Alluding to Trump’s plans to bring Loomer on board, Greene wrote: “Never hire or negotiate with a liar. Liars are toxic and poisonous to everything they touch. I’ll make sure he knows.”

Her comments suggest she has plans to discuss the report with Trump.

Trump congratulated Loomer after she won the 2020 Republican primary for a Florida House seat.

Later, Loomer lost the election.
