Kamala Tells Americans To Kick Rocks

This is literally insane.

Speaking at the Democrats’ winter meeting on Saturday (March 12), Vice President Kamala Harris said Democrats had one major task during this year’s midterms, and that was to remind voters the Biden-Harris administration delivered on their campaign promises.

At the Democratic National Committee, Harris rallied Democrats, declaring, “Our task is to show people that, in many ways, they got what they ordered.”

Harris made the statements following her trip to Eastern Europe, where she addressed the Russia-Ukraine war with Romanian and Polish leaders. She referenced those meetings in her address to the DNC, saying that the U.S. and its allies’ greatest strength is to be united in the defense of democracy.

She reiterated the commitment the U.S. had to Ukraine, telling DNC members, “The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people [and] in defense of the NATO Alliance.”

Harris’s speech follows one Biden made on Thursday to the 415 members that have gathered in person for the first time since 2019. Both seemed to acknowledge that Democrats face a challenging midterm election season.

Biden also encouraged Democrats to embrace their record during the upcoming campaign season, saying Democrats “have a record to be proud of, an agenda that addresses the biggest concerns here in America, in people’s lives; the message that resonates.”

He then encouraged Democrats to sell that message with “confidence, clarity, conviction, and repetition.”

Despite having several significant losses, namely failing to pass Biden’s cornerstone legislation, the Build Back Better plan, Harris emphasized that Democrats had still managed plenty.

Like Biden, Harris touted job gains, the American Rescue Plan, schools and businesses reopening, and the bipartisan infrastructure deal as Democrat accomplishments.

Hoping Democrat voters would “show up again,” Harris said that a lot of what voters demanded, “they got, and so let’s get out there as we do and remind them.”

However, Republicans disagree.

With Emma Vaughn, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, citing “record gas prices, historic inflation, runaway crime, an open border, and a country moving in the wrong direction” as the reason “Biden and Harris have lost the trust of the American people.”

Vaughn continued her statement, saying the Biden-Harris agenda is responsible for “destroying wallets, pitting Americans against each other, and weakening our standing on the world stage.”
