HUGE: Trump Gets Powerful Endorsement

DONALD TRUMP

(TheIndependentStar.com) – In great news for Donald Trump and Republicans, the most prominent and historic police union in the United States, the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), has given its backing to the former president in his bid for the presidency.

This endorsement, announced late last week, underscores Trump’s notable support for law enforcement throughout his political career.

With over 377,000 members, the FOP made this decision following a “thorough and inclusive” endorsement process, which concluded last Friday.

This support was publicly acknowledged by Trump via a post on X, where he expressed his gratitude.

“I am so honored to receive the Fraternal Order of Police official endorsement for President of the United States. Thank you!” Trump posted on X.

The union’s National President, Patrick Yoes, emphasized the unanimous support for Trump among members, The Daily Wire reports.

“After the vote there was ‘no doubt—zero doubt—as to who they want as our President for the next four years: Donald J. Trump,’” Yoes declared.

He praised Trump for his unwavering support during his first term, especially highlighted by his stance during the summer of 2020 against the defund the police movement.

“During his first term, President Trump made it clear he supported law enforcement and border security,” Yoes said.

“In the summer of 2020, he stood with us when very few would. With his help, we defeated the ‘defund the police’ movement and, finally, we are seeing crime rates decrease. If we want to maintain these lower crime rates, we must re-elect Donald Trump,” he added.

The endorsement process involved a detailed examination of the records of the candidates, including their responses to a specific questionnaire sent by the FOP.

While Trump provided responses, the Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris did not directly respond to the questionnaire.

“An FOP committee met personally with former President Trump, but no similar meeting was granted by the Harris-Walz campaign. This information was provided to the more than 377,000 members of the FOP so they could make their own decision in this election,” the FOP clarified in a statement.

Yoes also reflected on Trump’s previous endorsements and his leadership.

“The National FOP endorsed Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020. He led our nation through some very tough times. He provided our nation with strong, effective leadership during his first term, and now that he is seeking election to a second term, we intend to help him win it,” he concluded.
