(TheIndependentStar.com) – The days of seeing Democrats turning a blind eye to the illegal alien invasion are over as Texas has taken bold action to secure the border by empowering the National Guard with arrest authority.

In a groundbreaking move aligned with President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, Texas has deputized its National Guard to detain illegal aliens.

This decisive step seeks to boost border security and fight against the ongoing invasion at the southern border.

Governor Abbott announced the landmark agreement between Texas and the Trump administration’s Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The plan grants the Texas National Guard never-before-seen powers in immigration enforcement “effective immediately” to increase “manpower for border security.”

The new authorization adds at least 3,000 Texas Army National Guard soldiers to assist the Department of Homeland Security in enforcing federal immigration law.

This strategic move comes as part of Texas’ ongoing efforts to support President Trump’s immigration policies, including mass deportations and securing the U.S.-Mexico border.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton strongly supported the initiative, emphasizing the importance of law enforcement and national sovereignty.

“On day one, President Trump took bold action to make America safe again. I am proud to be the first to join him to restore our national sovereignty, secure our border, and ensure that criminal aliens face the justice they deserve,” he stated.

Paxton added, “As the top law enforcement official in Texas, I call on all agencies and departments to join me in the fight. We will enforce the law and protect America.”

The memorandum of understanding between CBP and Texas allows National Guard soldiers to conduct roving patrols with U.S. immigration officers or Border Patrol agents, maintaining a ratio of one officer for every four soldiers.

This arrangement ensures proper supervision while maximizing the impact of the additional manpower.

Since 2021, Texas has invested over $13 billion in Operation Lone Star to enforce border security.

This operation includes bombshell measures such as busing illegals to Democrat-run sanctuary cities and installing barriers in the Rio Grande.

Governor Abbott has labeled Texas’ border operations as necessary due to federal enforcement gaps created during the Biden administration.

President Trump’s immigration crackdown began with several executive actions, including ending an app for asylum-seekers, setting arrest quotas for ICE, expanding fast-track deportations, and removing restrictions on arrests at sensitive locations.

The Texas National Guard’s new powers align perfectly with these objectives, demonstrating the state’s commitment to supporting the president’s vision for a secure America.

While some Democrats and former officials have questioned this move by claiming recent declines in border crossings, the reality on the ground tells a different story.

The ongoing crisis at the southern border demands decisive action, and Texas is leading the charge in protecting American citizens and upholding the rule of law.

As Texas continues to stand firm against the tide of illegal immigration, Americans can rest assured knowing that their safety and security remain a top priority for both state and federal leadership.

The fight to secure borders and protect the nation’s sovereignty is far from over. Still, both President Trump and Governor Abbott are one step closer to realizing a truly secure America.
