Here’s what Hillary Clinton could be planning.
As speculation surrounding who will attempt securing the 2024 Presidency mounts, one unlikely name keeps resurfacing: Hillary Clinton.
The former presidential hopeful has been in the news recently as she continues to set up speaking engagements, makes appearances at campaign events, and sells merchandise mocking her former rival, former President Donald Trump.
But her name has likely also popped up because of President Joe Biden’s dismal performance.
The former Secretary of State name started appearing in the headlines after two allies penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal mentioned the idea of Clinton being a “change candidate” while pitching her comeback.
Despite Clinton repeatedly denying running for Presidency in 2024, the combination of Biden’s advanced age and dismal approval ratings have caused many to wonder if Clinton making another bid at the Presidency would be possible.
Clinton’s actions aren’t discouraging those wondering.
Instead, the former Presidential hopeful participated in a virtual fundraiser for Ohio Senate hopeful Tim Ryan and a reported speaking engagement at next week’s New York State Democratic Convention.
Clinton will also be headlining the annual Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi in March, where she will be accepting the International Women’s Day Lifetime Achievement Award.
Clinton also made headlines following allegations against Trump that said the former President moved and destroyed documents because she announced she would be selling hats with the slogan “But her emails.”
The slogan references Trump’s persistent criticism of Clinton concerning her use of a private email server to send and receive public communications.
Despite her jabs at Trump and the endorsement from former President Bill Clinton that she is “the most qualified person to run for office in my lifetime, including me,” conservative leaders welcome her potential third attempt at the White House.
Of the matter, Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson said, “The only thing conservatives would love more than President Biden running for reelection is Hillary Clinton running again.” With Anderson pointing out that “Americans do not want the elitist, condescending, and wildly radical worldview that Clinton would bring to a potential presidential campaign. Americans simply want government to get out of their way and deserve a president that respects their rights.”
