According to an interview former secretary of state and Yale Law alumna, Hilary Clinton had with People’s magazine she lost a test on legal knowledge with Kim Kardashian.
The defeat — which Clinton described as “heartbreaking” — came during an episode of Clinton’s upcoming Apple TV+ docuseries. Kardashian and Clinton went toe-to-toe in a pop quiz regarding criminal law issues, which included questions about self-defense and deadly force.
Kardashian, a reality TV star and advocate of criminal justice reform, beat Clinton 11-4.
The segment is set to air on the upcoming Netflix docuseries “Gutsy,” which Clinton, and her daughter Chelsea, will host and executive produce.
The series is based on a book, “The Book of Gutsy Women,” co-authored by the mother-daughter duo.
In the People magazine interview, Chelsea Clinton, who was the quizmaster in the legal trivia quiz, expressed her belief that her mother would have had the upper hand if she could have been quicker on the buzzer.
The older Clinton noted she wanted to put the “spotlight” on Kardashian but insisted she hadn’t allowed her opponent to win but wanted to showcase Kardashian’s hard work to achieve her legal knowledge.
Kim Kardashian is the daughter of Robert Kardashian, who became notorious for defending O.J. Simpson in the murder trial.
Kardashian, however, rose to fame because of her appearance in Keeping Up With the Kardashian. But, in recent years, Kardashian has gained a name for herself as a criminal justice reform advocate. In 2018, she successfully lobbied former President Donald Trump to grant clemency to Alice Johnson, a grandmother who was 63 years old at the time and was serving a life sentence for a non-violent drug conviction.
