(TheIndependentStar.com) – Nobel Prize-winning economist and hard leftist Paul Krugman has come out of the shadows to issue a baseless claim: that President-elect Donald Trump’s economic policies will supposedly hurt blue-collar workers
Widely infamous for his hardcore left-leaning views, Krugman argues that Trump’s plans to raise tariffs and cut taxes will increase prices for the working class while benefiting high earners.
He describes Trump’s economic program as “extremely regressive,” redistributing income from working-class voters to the wealthy.
However, Krugman conveniently ignored the positive impact Trump’s policies had on job creation and wage growth for blue-collar workers.
During Trump’s first term, unemployment rates hit record lows and wages rose faster for lower-income workers than for higher-income earners.
Krugman’s criticism of Trump’s lack of a clear plan to lower grocery prices is particularly misleading.
Although inflation has affected American households due to rising prices for essentials, this is largely due to the reckless spending policies of the Biden administration, not Trump’s economic strategies.
The economist also warns about the supposed negative impact of Trump’s proposed mass deportations on industries reliant on immigrant labor.
However, this argument fails to consider the long-term benefits of enforcing immigration laws, including improved wages and job opportunities for American workers.
Krugman’s concerns about Trump’s criticism of higher education are equally misguided.
Trump’s stance on education is not about undermining technological advancement but about refocusing on practical skills and trade schools that can provide immediate employment opportunities for many Americans.
Krugman’s assessment of Trump’s economic policies seems more rooted in partisan bias than objective analysis.
While he claims Trump’s supporters will feel “brutally scammed,” the reality is that many working-class Americans experienced crystal-clear benefits during Trump’s presidency, including job growth and wage increases.
As citizens look toward the future, it is clear that Trump’s America First economic policies offer a more promising path for blue-collar workers than the globalist approach favored by liberal economists like Krugman.
Therefore, the choice between economic prosperity and liberal elitism has never been clearer.
The economist also slammed one of the president-elect's policies as "terrible." https://t.co/yFU6gU3lPL
