People are fed up.

In a Friday interview with Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott highlighted the southern border crisis, emphasizing that President Joe Biden is ignoring the issue.

Abbott was adamant in the interview about Biden’s lack of attention to the situation, telling the FOX Business host that “The American public needs to know, President Biden does not care.”

Besides the number of illegal immigrants and those from “terrorist-based nations” crossing the southern border, Abbott also pointed to the deadly amounts of Fentanyl reaching the U.S. According to Abbott, “over the last calendar year” Texas recorded 2 million people illegally crossing the border “from more than 150 countries across the entire globe.”

He also emphasized that during that period, Texas authorities had seized enough Fentanyl to kill “every man, woman, and child in Texas, California, New York, Illinois, and Florida combined.”

Criticizing Biden’s handling of the matter, Abbott said, “It’s just astonishing that we have a President who is failing to step up and do anything about it,” before calling on the President “to stop sitting in his bedroom and get out and do something about this.”

Without much Federal support, Texas has had to rely on state resources to secure the border, with Governor Abbott resuming construction of the border wall recently in addition to deploying 10,000 more National Guard troops and Department of Public Safety officers along the Mexico border.

Abbott also showed support for Border Patrol agents who challenged Alejandro Mayorkas during Homeland Security Secretary meeting saying that they had “turned their back on Secretary Mayorkas” and “were complaining about the way the President has not supported the Border Patrol [by] not giving them the resources or manpower they need to do their job.”

The Texas Governor then went on to reprimand Biden for deploying resources to other nations and “spending millions, if not billions, of American taxpayer dollars to secure the border of other countries that probably will never have an effect in Texas or the United States of America.”

The Republican then went on to warn that situations like the synagogue hostage in Colleyville could arise because of Biden’s lax approach to the border.

Abbott warned more dangerous situations can arise, like the synagogue hostage situation in Colleyville, questioning how many terrorists were able to enter the U.S. “because of lapses by the Biden administration.”
