Here’s what he said.

Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci made a statement on the recent travel bans implemented by President Joe Biden. This comes as many officials have stated that they need to re-evaluate the travel bans as many think that it is not fair.

The travel bans effect several countries in southern Africa. Many countries have had the variants spread but the U.S. has yet to make an effort to ban those countries. Officials from the U.N. and other U.S. officials have stated that the travel bans need to be evaluated once more. Dr. Anthony Fauci stated that he feels terrible for the current travel bans and that they are currently being evaluated once more to see any changes. He stated that he hopes that the ban will be lifted sooner rather than later.

Fauci continued his statement saying that the travel ban was necessary to help Americans prepare for a potential wave if it reaches the U.S. It was also necessary to help find a solution to the new variant and protect other countries that may not be ready for a wave of coronavirus cases. Fauci stated that he still feels badly for many of those who are going through hardship due to the travel ban and the virus.

This is very bad news for the Biden administration. Dr. Fauci believes that the recent travel bans were somewhat necessary but paints a very bad picture for the current administration. He stated that more countries may fall into this travel ban if the variant keeps spreading at a high rate.
