(TheIndependentStar.com) – In a long-anticipated, crucial revelation, it has now been officially confirmed that the FBI had dozens of informants on the ground during January 6, 2021, events at the U.S. Capitol.
The facts reveal FBI informants were present in D.C., but, according to an official report, claims they instigated the riot remain unsubstantiated.
A recent Department of Justice watchdog report confirmed that on January 6, 2021, law enforcement loomed large with 26 FBI informants scattered throughout Washington, D.C.
Among these, 17 made their way onto Capitol grounds, an unsettling revelation for those skeptical of government accountability.
However, the report found no evidence that any undercover FBI agents engaged in the attack.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz concluded, “We found no evidence in the materials we reviewed or the testimony we received showing or suggesting that the FBI had undercover employees in the various protest crowds, or at the Capitol, on January 6.”
According to mainstream media, this solidifies the report’s rebuttal of claims that federal agents staged events or ignited the riot, The Daily Mail reports.
Surprisingly, the report also detailed that none of the confidential human sources (CHSs) who entered restricted areas faced prosecution, sparking frustration among patriots who feel justice is partial.
According to Horowitz’s report, “None of the CHSs who entered the Capitol or a restricted area has been prosecuted to date,” raising questions about accountability and fairness.
Communication within the Bureau also faced criticism for its lackluster execution, as the FBI did not thoroughly canvas its field offices for pertinent intelligence beforehand.
Inspector General Horowitz pointed out these shortcomings, asserting, “The FBI therefore should have canvassed its field offices for any relevant CHS information in advance of January 6.”

Such missteps emphasize a need for consolidation and diligence to prevent such events from escalating unchecked.
The report stressed how the FBI did foresee potential violence and made efforts to disseminate information.
FBI Director Chris Wray defended the agency, saying, “We communicated that information in a timely fashion to the Capitol Police and MPD in not one, not two, but three different ways,” challenging claims of incompetence.
Furthermore, the Department of Justice has charged over 1,500 individuals in connection with the January 6 events, influenced by the belief in widespread election fraud.
Trump, whose charges were dismissed post-election victory, has expressed a desire to pardon those he views as “patriots” caught in political crossfire.
This unfolding saga leaves conservatives wary of federal overreach and underscores the necessity of transparency.
