DEM’s DESPERATE Move – $100K!

(TheIndependentStar.com) – In a desperate move to secure votes for Kamala Harris in the November 5 presidential election, the Democrat National Committee (DNC) is making history by spending over $100,000 to register the 9 million Americans living abroad.

According to a DNC official, this funding will help Democrats Abroad, the group representing Democrats living outside the U.S., to conduct voter registration drives and spread information on how to vote from overseas.

The DNC noted that more than 1.6 million Americans from key battleground states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin live overseas. They plan to fight for every single vote in these critical areas.

Moreover, winning these states is crucial for either Harris or former President Donald Trump to claim victory.

“The DNC is leaving no stone left unturned to ensure that Kamala Harris will be the next president of the United States,” the statement said, highlighting that only 8% of Americans abroad registered to vote in the 2020 election.

It added, “This election will be won on the margins, and with only three months until the election, every vote matters – including the votes of those who are serving or living abroad.”

Continuing with the DNC’s official statement, Mexico has the largest group of Americans living overseas, with significant numbers also residing in various European countries.

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, recently visited several political battleground states. They drew large crowds at rallies and built on the momentum built since Harris became the Democrat frontrunner after Joe Biden stepped aside.

Furthermore, Harris has surged ahead of Trump by 4% points in polls of voters in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, a significant shift from earlier polls before Biden withdrew last month.

Nationally, Harris leads Trump by 5% points, 42% to 37%, in an Ipsos poll released Thursday, which widens her lead from a July 22-23 Reuters/Ipsos survey, which showed her ahead 37% to 34%.

Martha McDevitt-Pugh, chair of Democrats Abroad, praised the DNC funding as “a powerful affirmation of our work and the importance of the overseas electorate, who vote back in their home state and have been the margin of victory in numerous pivotal races, such as delivering Georgia in 2020.”
