(TheIndependentStar.com) – The man behind a Christmas Day mass shooting in Indianapolis has been exposed for what he truly is: a dangerous illegal alien.
Although the suspect was initially identified as Andres Sanchez Garzon, he is actually Dauzon Narvez Garzon, a Colombian man who entered the U.S. illegally.
The vicious mass shooting took place during a Christmas gathering at a northeast Indianapolis home, where a festive celebration turned into a horrific crime scene.
35-year-old Garzon was found hiding outside the home after opening fire on the party-goers.
The incident claimed the life of 37-year-old Ana Paredes and left five others wounded, with four juveniles present but physically unharmed.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) initially struggled to identify the suspect accurately.
“Police had initially named the suspect as Andres Sanchez Garzon, 35. However, investigators later learned he’d provided a different name than his legal one, Dauzon Narvez Garzon,” IMPD stated.
The suspect’s illegal status has prompted collaboration between IMPD, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Alarmingly, this was not Garzon’s first encounter with law enforcement. He was previously held in Marion County Jail for felony battery by means of a deadly weapon, strangulation and domestic battery.
The fact that an illegal alien with a history of violent behavior was able to remain in the country and commit such a heinous crime on Christmas Day is a damning indictment of the current immigration system.
Garzon’s account of the events leading up to the shooting is equally disturbing.
He claimed he was under the influence of cocaine, meth and alcohol, and could not remember firing a gun.
He also stated that others at the party were “threatening him and accusing him of working with the police.”
Witnesses at the scene provided a chilling account of the shooting, stating that Garzon “just began shooting everyone.”
