(TheIndependentStar.com) – Refusing to be constrained on his own show, popular podcast host Joe Rogan hit the breaks on his interview with Kamala Harris due to her campaign’s restrictive demands.
This decision highlights the contrast between Harris and GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
While Harris fears and avoids live engagements, Trump is always willing for a sit-down, like he did during a free-flowing conversation on Rogan’s show.
Known for his unfiltered and lengthy conversations, Rogan was in talks to interview Harris on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
However, the negotiations hit a roadblock when Harris’ campaign proposed a one-hour interview that required Rogan to travel to her location.
The podcast host said he preferred to conduct the interview in his Austin studio, where he could have a genuine conversation to understand Harris as a person.
“Also, for the record, the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast,” Rogan clarified.
“They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” he explained.
This development comes on the heels of Trump’s recent appearance on Rogan’s podcast.
Trump’s three-hour interview has received an impressive 37 million views on YouTube, showcasing Rogan’s platform’s immense reach and influence.
During the interview, both Trump and Rogan discussed the possibility of having Harris on the podcast. “She was supposed to do it and she might still do it. I hope she does,” Rogan said.
“I hope she does because it would be a mess. She’d be lying on the floor comatose. She’d be saying: ‘Call in the medics,'” Trump chimed in.
Despite the current disagreement, Rogan remains hopeful about the possibility of interviewing Harris in the future.
Rogan’s podcast is the most popular on Spotify and has a significant following on YouTube, making it a valuable opportunity for any candidate to connect with a diverse audience.
As the 2024 election approaches, the contrast between Trump’s media engagement and Harris’ fearful approach has become a significant talking point.
