She wants her name cleared.

A Democrat super PAC claiming to have helped fire Rep. Madison Cawthorn has been sent a letter by a lawyer representing Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) which threatens legal action for publishing false allegations about Boebert’s personal life.

On Wednesday (June 15), attorney Jonathan Anderson sent the American Muckrackers and its president, David Wheeler, the legal threat, stating the law firm has “irrefutable evidence” that the accusations the PAC made about Boebert were “patently false.”

Also known as “Fire Boebert,” the PAC has claimed Boebert was a prostitute for a sugar-daddy service, had multiple abortions, and abandoned her former sister-in-law in a nearly fatal off-roading accident in May 2020.

But, according to a review by the Washington Examiner, the PAC’s allegations were filled with factual errors.

Prior to Rep. Madison Cawthorn’s primary loss, the America Muckrakers published several salacious stories on the lawmakers.

In a statement to the Washington Examiner, Boebert addressed the claims, saying, “This is completely baseless and disgusting, and these allegations are completely false.”

Boebert continued, “For them to go after me in this manner is absolutely sexist and disgusting, and this is what people hate about politics. They hate the lies, and they hate the personal destruction.”

She then stated that the damaging nature of the claims is why she’s “going after this guy personally and his group with the full force of the law.” The Colorado Republican also asserted that she is “not holding back” because she wants to “make sure that this never happens to anyone else again.”
