Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), a member of the Freedom Caucus, is expected to implore a potential Republican House Majority to aggressively pursue a conservative agenda.
According to reporting by Fox News Digital, which details Boebert’s speech according to a copy acquired by the agency, Boebert intends to rally Republicans for “battle.”
Boebert’s speech also suggests she will be withholding support for Republicans seeking House leadership if the GOP wins the majority; one of those in Boebert’s war path is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA.), who has plans to run for speaker.
Part of her speech reads, “I wish I could tell you that I had full faith in GOP leadership in both the House and Senate to defund the deep state and to hold the Biden regime accountable. But I don’t. I’ve been disappointed too many times.”
She is also expected to list her demands for those who want her support, saying they must “fight with me to end medical tyranny, secure the southern border and fire Anthony Fauci,” and, if they don’t, they won’t receive her support.
Boebert also calls out anyone seeking to be speaker.
She will then go on to display the Freedom Caucus’ influence and is expected to say: “The Freedom Caucus fired John Boehner, ran off squishy Paul Ryan and we will not tolerate another GOP speaker that works with Democrats more than Republicans.”
Her speech should also take aim at vaccine mandates and the lack of oversight for unvaccinated migrants, government funding, and the Southern border Wall.
Part of her concluding remarks includes a statement about her voting plans: “Any bill that funds tyranny while our country is being invaded, my Freedom Caucus allies are a no, and I’m a hell no.”
