(TheIndependentStar.com) – Showing how deranged extremists react to anything Trump-related, a man has been arrested for making violent threats against President Donald Trump.
42-year-old Kendal Aaron Todd was taken into custody after posting disturbing social media videos.
He challenged the president to “fight me naked to the death” and threatened to cut him up with a chainsaw and place him in acid.
The dangerous threat comes as President Trump continues to face alarming security challenges even after dodging an assassination attempt during his campaign.
Todd, from Fort Pierce, Florida, was arrested by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office following a joint investigation with the U.S. Secret Service.
He faces charges of issuing “written threats to kill or do bodily harm” and is currently held on a $500,000 bond.
In a disturbing 80-second social media clip, Todd declared himself president and called Trump the Antichrist before making his violent threats.
The videos contained specific, graphic descriptions of how he intended to harm the president.
Law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at Todd’s residence, where they discovered two handguns.
The firearms were seized under Florida’s “red flag” law, which allows temporary confiscation of weapons from individuals showing signs of violence.
Todd has a documented history of mental health issues and had previously been treated under Florida’s Baker Act.
A relative reported that Todd had expressed “suicide by cop” ideations, indicating he was not only a danger to the president but potentially to law enforcement and himself.
St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro revealed that authorities had been monitoring Todd for over a week due to growing concerns about his mental state and increasingly dangerous behavior.
“He just kept escalating his behavior,” Del Toro explained. “He got the attention obviously of the United States Secret Service — and that got our attention.”
Neighbors had noticed increased law enforcement presence in the area and were not surprised by Todd’s arrest, reporting that they had observed strange behavior from him in the past.
When deputies previously attempted to deliver civil paperwork to Todd’s home, he had turned combative and threatened violence.
This incident marks yet another violent threat against President Trump, who has already survived an assassination attempt during his campaign.
While the mainstream media continues to downplay the dangers Trump faces, law enforcement agencies are taking these threats with the utmost seriousness.
A risk protection order against Todd will remain in place until a hearing scheduled for March 24.
The measure ensures this dangerous individual cannot access weapons or continue making threats against President Trump.
