Biden’s Henchmen Infuriated

(TheIndependentStar.com) – In a striking case of Democrat infighting, the Kamala Harris campaign seems to have humiliated Joe Biden by forcing him to deliver his speech at the Democrat National Convention at a very late hour, thus infuriating the president’s henchmen.

The arrangement that elicited discontent among his closest advisors saw Biden’s speech to the convention scheduled for notably late on Monday.

Despite the significance of the occasion, the timing of his address, which commenced close to 11:30 p.m. ET and extended beyond midnight, was viewed unfavorably by some within his circle, Newsmax reports.

“This is awful. He literally set up a campaign and handed it over to them — do they have to cut him out of prime time?” a veteran Biden aide conveyed in a frustrated text message to Axios reporter Alex Thompson.

The Democratic National Committee issued a response to inquiries about the unusual timing of President Biden’s speech.

Their statement attributed the delay to the enthusiastic reactions from the audience, which consistently interrupted the speakers with applause.

“Because of the raucous applause interrupting speaker after speaker, we ultimately skipped elements of our program to ensure we could get to President Biden as quickly as possible so that he could speak directly to the American people,” DNC officials explained, according to Politico.

Further defending the vibrant atmosphere of the event, DNC officials expressed pride in the energetic ambiance of the convention hall.

They highlighted the effectiveness of the convention in demonstrating the broad and diverse coalition supporting the Harris-Walz ticket, both on and off the stage.

The repercussions of the extended program were not limited to the President alone.

Notable figures such as Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), a former DNC chair, and Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), were unable to deliver their speeches on the first night.

Additionally, the renowned singer James Taylor was removed from the night’s lineup.

Amidst speculation concerning his reaction to the conclusion of his presidency, President Biden explicitly denied any feelings of resentment.

Emphasizing unity within the party, he rallied support for Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate.

“I made a lot of mistakes in my career, but I gave my best to you,” Biden affirmed.

In contrast to Biden’s late-night slot, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016 and former Secretary of State, was allotted a prime-time speaking opportunity on Monday.

This stark difference in scheduling underscored the varying dynamics within the party’s approach to engaging with the national audience during the convention, the report concludes.
