Biden Goes to War With Fox

Joe Biden

( – Joe Biden is angrier than ever and is willing to go all out against Fox News.

In a strange move this week, the Biden administration has set its sights on Fox News, demanding the network retract stories tied to bribery allegations against Joe and Hunter Biden.

These allegations, now deemed false, were initially brought to light by Alexander Smirnov, a former FBI informant, now facing charges for fabricating his claims.

White House spokesman Ian Sams took the step of penning a letter directly to the top brass at Fox News. In his letter, Sams didn’t mince words, calling out the coverage as not just misleading but entirely discredited.

He wrote, “I write to you about Fox News Channel and Fox News Digital coverage of the false, discredited ‘bribery’ allegation involving President Joe Biden, which Fox outlets have given significant coverage over the past year.”

The core of Sams’ argument centers on the stories that gave airtime and credibility to Smirnov’s allegations amplified by Fox News Digital and primetime hosts Sean Hannity and Jesse Watters.

Sams insisted that personalities like Hannity and Watters should openly correct the record on air, stating, “We feel strongly that all Fox News Digital articles on this topic should at a minimum be updated with editor’s notes informing readers that the source of this allegation has been federally indicted for making it up. We also feel strongly that Fox News Channel television personalities like Hannity and Watters, among others, should inform their viewers on air that they have been sharing a discredited allegation from a source who has been federally indicted for making it up.”

The controversy stems from Smirnov’s claim that Joe and Hunter Biden accepted bribes worth $10 million from Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings. This claim led to Smirnov’s indictment for providing false statements to the FBI. Adding to the intrigue, Smirnov was revealed to have past permissions for illegal activities under FBI guidance and alleged ties to Russian intelligence.

Amidst the unfolding drama, Fox News has stood by its reporting, asserting its commitment to covering all developments related to the case. “FOX News Media has reported on all key developments since the announcement that Alexander Smirnov was charged with lying to the FBI, featuring the story prominently. We will continue to report on developments in all aspects of the ongoing investigations, hearings, and trials,” a spokesperson for Fox News conveyed.

Beyond the bribery saga, Sams is also dealing with the special counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents.

Despite Hur’s decision not to pursue charges against Biden his report casts a long shadow, raising questions about the President’s capacity to serve due to his age.
