Looks like this governor stuck to his word.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sticking to his promise that Texas would be sending illegal immigrants who arrive at the Southern border to the U.S. Capital, Washington, D.C.
Texas has now started dispatching buses to the border as part of the state’s Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). In the last day, an unspecified number of buses have popped up across small Texas communities. The communities in question are ones the state government has pinpointed as being overwhelmed by the influx of undocumented workers.
According to a report by Fox News, Seth Christensen, chief of media and communications for TDEM noted, “TDEM has dispatched buses to areas where communities have expressed concerns about the federal government dropping off migrants and can send as many as is necessary to fulfill the requests from mayors and county judges.”
Christensen also noted that since Abbott made his announcement on Wednesday (April 6), communities have mentioned that the federal government “has stopped dropping migrants in their towns,” while revealing that each bus can transport 40 illegal migrants.
